It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday! Sunday Happy Things {Week 426} Last week I mentioned that both my children had taken exams. I’m so pleased that my son passed his Grade 2 Clarinet…

A few weeks ago I featured the Marvellous Gingerbread Stars Biscuit Kit from Asda in my gingerbread gift guide. I’ve been so busy lately but this week I finally found time to make the biscuits. Marvellous Gingerbread Stars {biscuit kit} I love a packet mix because they are such a time saver. I just needed to add butter, Golden Syrup and water to make the gingerbread dough. I rolled it out and used the star-shaped cookie cutter included in the packet to cut out the stars. The kit made 15 stars but I used a smaller cutter to make a…

Disclosure – this is a guest post from Weekiss Menstruation, our monthly visitors, will always find its way once it is that time of the month. It doesn’t usually come alone but visits me with cramps and acne. Almost all menstruators experience one symptom or the other once it is that time of the month. The symptoms range from mood swings and concentration disorders to back, joint, muscle or headaches. Of course, it differs from person to person, and not everyone feels the intensity of the symptoms in the same way, but overall, the experience is not always palatable. However,…
