I think I’ve mentioned that the only room in desperate need of a makeover is our living room/dining room. It’s a long room which runs the length of the house and is lovely and light. I was charity shopping at the weekend which won’t be a surprise to my regular readers. I often like to share my vintage finds and have a great collection of vintage Fisher Price toys. I’m not quite sure what it is I like about them, but I love to collect them whenever I see one I don’t yet have. We spent the morning at The Frome Independent, otherwise known at the Frome Artisan and Produce Market. It takes place the first Sunday of every month in Frome town centre and is well worth a visit. My 4 year old starts Reception next week. They are easing him in gently and he won’t be doing full days until the 22nd. Despite attending Nursery and wearing the school uniform I still needed to buy him a whole load of new items. Thankfully Matalan offered to kit him out for Reception. This week we were fortunate to be invited to spend the day at Thomas Land at Drayton Manor to see the latest Thomas & Friends film – Tale of The Brave. My children loved our day at Thomas Land. When we arrived at the cinema we were greeted by The Fat Controller and were able to play with some of the latest Thomas & Friends toys before sitting down to watch the film. Our Summer holidays really are nearing the end. Week 6 has been the quietest of them all, we’ve spent a lot of time at home and I seem to have spent most of it struggling to get hold of school uniform! We’ve stayed local, venturing to the cinema to see Planes 2 again and enjoyed a few lunches out. I mentioned the other day that I’ve been planning my daughter’s birthday party which will have a Frozen theme. She’s absolutely obsessed, to the point she has to wear her Frozen tshirts and jumpers every day!
