2017 is going by far too quickly for my liking. I can’t quite believe Monday is the 1st May and a lovely Bank Holiday too. We have a fun day out planned but I couldn’t resist pulling together some May Day crafts to help kids celebrate the day. Some of these we’ve made and some we look forward to making over the weekend! 11 crafts for kids to celebrate May Day Painted Spring flower craft for kids Finger print flowers for May Day May Day basket for kids to make May Day basket bookmarks Painting with Spring flowers Easy May…

Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new. I skipped the March issue as it contained a loom kit, the same as in issue 58 (and made here). I gave the kit to my sister so hopefully she has made something cute to hang up in her house. Issue 78 of Mollie Makes came with an…

We had some amazing adventures over the Easter holidays. We stayed at home this year but had lots of trips out planned – mainly as my children just have so much energy! We went into London quite a lot, enjoying a trip to the opera and a Star Wars exhibition as well as local days out at the park and Lido. With some big days out planned there was really only one way to start each day, and that was with a good breakfast, such as our favourite BEAR Alphabites. Have you noticed they’ve had a bit of a makeover…

April is going so quickly but the longer days and warmer weather means we spend a lot longer outdoors. This weekend we stayed local because we laid a new floor in my son’s bedroom. Thankfully the children were happy to play outside, especially when they received some special happy mail. Outdoor play is really important for the whole family. Fresh air and exercise always equals a good nights sleep for everyone and my children know they have to play outside for at least 30 minutes if they want to earn their pocket money! Our little garden is child-friendly. As well…

I love Easter but chocolate is so cheap that a week later and we still have a house full of chocolate eggs. I wanted to use some up so added them to a weekend brownie bake for the perfect Easter sweet treat. Today I’m sharing my delicious Leftover Easter Egg Brownies. Leftover Easter Egg Brownies You will need: ingredients to make chocolate brownie 2 large and small Cadbury Creme Eggs Handful of chocolate mini eggs Brownies are quite quick and simple to make. What a difference a week makes. A week ago we stood on top of West Kennet Long Barrow in Wiltshire and enjoyed the Bank Holiday. The next day the children went back to school and I missed them and felt a bit lost at home on my own. It’s funny how quickly you get used to being surrounded by people. We spent the weekend removing the carpet from my son’s room and laying laminate down. I really hate carpet and it was down when we bought the house 4 years ago so it had to go. We also gave the room a bit…

This weekend my crafty 5 year old has been colouring in her clothes. I don’t normally encourage her to do this, but it’s ok, because she had a very special pirate Colour In Top from the Selfie Clothing Co., handmade in the UK. There are lots of different designs, from a Princess to a Superhero, Cowboy to Firefighter. As well as long-sleeved tops you can also choose pyjamas and gorgeous capes. Yesterday I noticed the children were getting a little bored and beginning to bicker. As a parent I know how important it is to let your children be bored. It’s good for thing and often they will think of something to do which is much better than I ever come up with. So I thought I would help them out a little by getting out the tuff spot. Paw Patrol sensory play The tuff spot is one of the best value things we have ever purchased. It’s great outdoors but we’ve brought it in a few times if the weather…

The beautiful weather we were enjoying over the Easter holidays has gone so we’ve been spending more time indoors recently. The kids are desperate to play outside but have had to adapt to indoors games. April is such a changeable month and we are so ready for sunshine! Schleich Eldrador range Our Schleich collection has been out a lot and we were delighted to receive one of the Schleich Eldrador Dragons to review. We hadn’t heard of the Eldrador series before. Eldrador is the wonderful knight’s adventure in a world of fiery volcanoes, icebergs and huge castles. The range includes dragons, Griffin Knights, Dragon…
