    Transformers: The Last Knight {toy review}

    At the end of last week we received a really exciting parcel from Hasbro. It contained some of the new toys released to coincide with the latest Transformers film, The Last Knight. My kids love Transformers so I was excited to see what they thought. They are a little obsessed with making videos at the moment so we made an unboxing video of the new Transformers The Last Knight toys from Hasbro. Take a look and see what my cheeky 5 and 7 year old had to say about them. Transformers: The Last Knight (also known as Transformers 5) is a new…

    Monday happy things {Week 136}

    Last week was good. I love a Bank Holiday Monday and we decided to visit Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and Waddesdon Manor.Buckinghamshire Railway Centre was huge and although the weather wasn’t great we all enjoyed riding on the trains. We had a lovely day out but it was pretty tiring. The highlight of our week was of course Star Wars Day! We started with a yummy Star Wars breakfast of green Yoda milk. It would have been blue Bantha milk but we didn’t have any blue food colouring. There were also Star Wars pancakes which were a fun way to start the…

    Enjoying the new Spring menu at Cafe Rouge

    We have a lovely Cafe Rouge on our local hight street. It’s in a beautiful old building – for some reason this always ticks all my boxes when I’m eating out – and I love to eat local. We were invited along to try the new Spring menu at Cafe Rouge so yesterday, after a day of gardening and relaxing at home, we went along to try it out for ourselves. We’ve been to Cafe Rouge quite a few times now. It’s our go-to place when we have family and friends round as we know there’s always something on the…

So it’s probably no surprise to other parents that she loves the Dinosaur Train tv show. It features a curious young Tyrannosaurus rex named Buddy who, together with his adopted Pteranodon family, takes the Dinosaur Train to explore his time period, and have adventures with all kinds of dinosaurs. Fans of the Dinosaur Train will love the new Dinosaur Train: Paint and Match app. Based on the popular Dinosaur Train tv Series…

    A Fairy Trail in the Woods {Clanger Wood }

    A few weeks ago we were staying at my mum’s in Wiltshire. We wanted to go and see some bluebells so headed to Clanger Woods. This is a lovely little area managed by the Woodland Trust. We parked up and spotted a poster which read ‘FAIRY TRAIL’. Now, my children love fairy play so I thought this would help keep them occupied as we walked through the woods. We looked a little closer and found another more detailed poster which read: Welcome to the Nature Detectives Fairy Trail – Blue and Belle are woodland fairies and they need your help!…

    Apple print butterflies {A-Z Play at Home series}

    Today I am starting a new series on my blog – the A-Z Play at Home blog hop organised by Teach Me Mommy. The idea is lovely and simple – to use everyday objects around the home for crafting or a learning activity. The first letter is A so I challenged my 7 year old to come up with something. He chose acrylic paint, as this is something that our house is full of, and apples. So we combined the two to make some awesome apple print butterflies, read on for our tutorial. Equipment to make apple print butterflies: An apple cut…

    Star Wars Day wreath {decorating for Star Wars Day}

    My children have embraced Star Wars Day as they do Easter and Christmas. To them it’s completely normal to decorate our little indoor seasonal tree with Star Wars decorations. This year we decorated our little tree and made a Star Wars Day wreath! Decorating for Star Wars Day We hung the little Star Wars toys which came with Kinder Eggs which both my children collected. They were the strangest mash up of a figure and vehicle I’ve ever seen but each one came with a little hanger – perfect for hanging on a tree! We managed to get the complete…
