Father’s Day DAD craft for kids to make

Father's Day DAD craft for kids to make

Duck Tape recently introduced washi tape to their range of products and I was sent a bundle of colours to craft with. With Father’s Day coming up I thought it made a great opportunity to try them out. My 7 year old loves to craft so he used the new Duck Tape washi tapes to make a cute Father’s Day card.

How to make a Father’s Day card using washi tape

First gather your supplies:

Duck Tape washi tapes

A4 white card

Scissors

First I drew the letters DAD on a piece of card and cut them out to make a template.

Whilst I was doing this my 7 year old covered a piece of card with some the lovely washi tapes. He chose the purple colours and tore off pieces to cover the card.

When he had finished we placed the DAD template on the back of the card and drew round it with a pencil. Then my son cut it out, making sure not to cut through any of the letters.

He turned over the DAD letters and gently folded the letters over so you could easily see it spelt out the word DAD.

This was a lovely simple Father’s Day craft and a great way to experiment with washi tape. The tapes are easy to tear and re-position if you put it in the wrong place.
