It’s not long until we celebrate St Patrick’s Day. I’ve been trying to think of small ways to celebrate at home and came up with some delicious St Patrick’s Day Brownie Bites. I’m all in favour of a quick bake so used a shop bought packet mix as the base of these. You can make them in a mini muffin pan or in a brownie tray and cut them into small bites. Don’t forget to check out our other St Patrick’s Day crafts for kids and adults to make. Ingredients to make St Patrick’s Day Brownie Bites: 1 (18.3 ounce) package…

My 7 year old recently caught the reading bug. She has been reading all her older brothers books, which means she has devoured the Captain Underpants, Barry Loser and The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. She is regularly falling asleep with a book on her face and I love that she just wants to read. George from Captain Underpants costume Over the last few years both my children have got involved in World Book Day celebrations. I’m not a huge fan of spending money on costumes as I’d much rather spend it on books! This year my son in…

Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Five Happy Things {Week 230} I found the first week back at work after half term really tiring. We added a new after school club to our weekly schedule which made for a really ridiculous Monday. My 8 year old wants to…

But before I share our latest tutorial on how to make a Duck Tape Easter Squishy, I wanted to tell you about a great competition from Duck Tape where you could be the Easter star of your class! I am really enjoying reading at the moment. I’m sure it has something to do with working in a school where literacy is encouraged amongst staff, students and teachers. I seem to be reading all of the time, which is brilliant! I’ve read quite a few books already this year and am going to smash my Goodreads target this month. My latest book is When You Read This by Mary Adkins, the cover really caught my eye and I was delighted to receive a copy from NetGalley to review. When You Read This by Mary Adkins Iris Massey is gone. …

The other day I told you all about the new limited edition Scruff-a-luv Blossom Bunnies. Can you believe we’re already half way through the school year? This scares me a little as the year is going so quickly. It means I have survived a term and a half working in a secondary school, and that my children are halfway through Year 4 and Year 2. I’ve had both their Parents Evenings in the past few weeks and am so proud of the great reports they received. They both enjoy school and I love how involved they are in school life. I like to think they both get a lot and give a lot. One thing…
