We are so excited to be able to plan family days out again. We have missed our days out and although we have been out every day, the walks began to get slightly boring. Even with our little pup adventure walks and bikes and scooters, it has been hard keeping the kids entertained. So what did we book for our first day out since places re-opened? We booked a slot at Bekonscot Model Village and Railway which is just 20 minutes away. It’s a place we visited when the kids were younger and we wanted to visit again before they…

Finally the weather is getting a little warmer and we can leave our heavy coats at home. The kids are so excited to have the longer days and our dog walks are much more enjoyable. Our crafts have a definite Spring in them and we couldn’t resist adding this fun paper frog craft for kids. List of supplies: Coloured card or paper Pencil Black marker pen Craft glue Scissors Free frog template How to make a paper frog Select at least 2 different shades of green coloured craft papers, white and pink coloured craft papers for the paper frog craft.…

One of my birthday presents was the Spring Craftpod subscription box. I was more than ready for some Spring projects. It doesn’t feel very long since I shared what was inside the previous box but sadly this is a quarterly subscription. Spring is my favourite season along with Autumn. I’ve been enjoying watching for the signs of Spring for the last few weeks and my phone is full of photos of snowdrops, daffodils, tulips and blossom on trees. Spring stitching {Spring Craftpod review} The box was a real delight to open, containing two spring craft projects, bobbin cards, spring stickers,…

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Monday Happy List {Week 339} Did you have snow last week? The weather was so cold and we did see quite a few flakes of snow during the week. We are all more than ready for Spring, especially after we saw so many gorgeous spring flowers…

We love a wander around London and the old East End is a real favourite old stomping ground of mine. It’s a great area to visit with kids and there’s lots to see and do. Old Spitalfields Market is a vibrant market full of independent traders, but you will also find some well known brands in the surrounding shops, as well as lots of places to eat and drink. Our visit took place a few weeks ago but despite the restrictions we thought Old Spitalfields Market was still worth a visit. The market was open for takeaway food and drink…

My children have been counting down the days until our local toy shop re-opens. Our local toy shop is amazing and we have all missed popping in for a browse of the latest toys and games. My youngest loves slime so was excited to receive the new Anti-Bacterial Slime pots from Canal Toys to try out. Anti-Bacterial Slime Pots from Canal Toys My daughter has a huge slime collection but we have never seen a product which claims to help children keep their hands sanitised! Canal Toys have invented a great product which is perfect for the craziness of the…

Our local area has some amazing places which we have been lucky to explore over the past year. We have the best of both worlds, being on the outskirts of London with easy access to central London as well as the surrounding countryside. I’ve shared some of our outdoor escapes and today I wanted to tell you about Oxhey Activity Park because if you have children they will want to go there! Exploring Oxhey Activity Park Oxhey Activity Park has only recently opened between a re-developed strip of land at the bottom of Oxhey Park towards the River Colne. We’ve…

The one thing I have missed (after seeing family and friends) is taking part in craft classes and workshops in person. I have missed the opportunities that craft classes and events give me to try new things. With no Handmade Fair, no Knitting & Stitching Show or in person workshops it feels a long time since I got together with other crafters to make and learn. Of course many events have carried on online but I was reluctant to spend an evening looking at my laptop after a day at work. Easter Made Easy Craft-Along However when I spotted an…

Monday Happy List {Week 338} Although we were only back at school for 4 weeks we were all ready for the Easter holidays. We love Easter and enjoyed the preparations by making Easter Egg tiffin, Hot Cross Buns, Simnel Cake, as well as Easter gingerbread biscuits…
