Morning and happy Monday peeps. The cold weather made for a loooong weekend, I’m just a little bit grateful that it’s Monday and my children are back at school! Time for my weekly Monday mindfulness post – about the 5 things which made me happy over the last 7 days.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
Last week was busy for me as I was back in school doing some exam invigilating. I was grateful for the work but it meant I was less present on my blog and social channels. Which was a shame, as I had so much to share!
This year I’ve challenged myself to tackle some of the unfinished craft projects I have around the house. I’ve been enjoying stitching although this week has been more stitching Beaver badges on jumpers and names in school jumper than anything else!
I did some baking last week though which was fun. I baked some seriously yummy mini gingerbread houses which sat on the edge of a mug. They were super cute and tasted yummy too.
I’m counting down to the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show which takes place at London Olympia soon. I’m excited to have teamed up with Twisted Thread and have 5 pairs of tickets to giveaway to The Knitting and Stitching Show! Please note the tickets are redeemable any day except Saturday 3rd March, travel expenses are not included. You can enter here.
I also have a generous discount code to share with you. Simply use GINGERBREAD18 and get £2 off advance adult tickets and £1 off advance concessions, so tickets will be £11.50 instead of £13.50/£12.50 (there’s a £1.50 fulfilment fee per transaction). Please note I receive a small commission on any tickets sold using the code.
Before I forget – please join me if you can on Thursday between 4-5 for a Twitter party to celebrate SuperZings! These are the latest collectible toy for kids and it should be a fun party. You can see what we thought of them and watch our unboxing video here. Follow me @gingerbread_mum or look out for the #SuperZingsparty.
Over the weekend I managed to submit my Tax Return. This is really dull but as I’m self employed it’s important to be on top of all my invoices and declare everything I earn. Which leads me on to announce how happy I am to be working with Adobe Photoshop Elements again. Last year I created two craft tutorials for them and they have commissioned two more which is exciting for me.
I’m hoping for some nicer/warmer/drier weather this week. Have a great week!
