Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 370}

Starting the week by writing theĀ Monday Happy ListĀ Ā is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 370}

Last week felt really busy with the Bichon Frise puppy celebrating his second birthday and my last day at work. I received some beautiful flowers and chocolates and felt sad saying my goodbyes after 4 years there. However I am so excited about starting a new adventure in a new job today.

My daughter has been working hard at school recently and received the Deputy Head Teachers Award which she was pleased about. She was also made a Sixer at Cubs as one of the older members which she was excited to tell me. I have already stitched her new badge on her uniform so she could wear it to the Remembrance Day service yesterday.

Both my children enjoy being part of Scouting and on Friday night my son went on a night hike with Scouts. I was a little apprehensive about him going out so late at night but he had a great time with his friends.

We spent a day in Portsmouth with our extended family this weekend, we even managed a couple of walks on the beach. We all love being by the sea and found a wonderful pub where we could enjoy lunch and watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour. We’re planning a weekend in Portsmouth next year as there are so many places we would like to visit.

I finished my 2021 Gingerbread Gift Guide which is packed full of amazing gingerbread house kits, gingerbread biscuits, gingerbread chocolate and more. I love picking up gingerbread flavoured products at this time of year, and will enjoy baking the kits with my children in the next few weeks too.
