Welcome to my not-very-festive edition of my regular Monday Happy Things post. Everything is winding down for Christmas which I am insanely grateful for!
We started the week by watching Tim Peake launch into space. It seemed a really historic moment and I was pleased to have someone to share it with, even if that person was my 4 year old. I posted this pic on Instagram and I think a few people thought I was showing off our Christmas decorations but I was just trying to show we were excited to be watching Tim Peake!
We’ve just started watching The Man in the High Castle tv series and so far so good.
I heard that an Orla Kiely Colouring Book is being released in 2016. I’ve always loved her prints and patterns so can’t wait ’til it’s published. Her stem print is my favourite and I can foresee many happy hours of colouring. Wouldn’t a Cath Kidston Adult Colouring Book be great too?!
The children have finished nursery and school for 2015. This makes me so so happy! The last few weeks have been busy and tiring and I think we were all looking forward to a break from the normal routine. Over the last few days we’ve had lie ins, been to the cinema, relaxed at home and generally been enjoying some much-needed family time.
Over the last week we watched all of the Star Wars films which had the effect of making my 5 year old a big fan. Yesterday he went to see Episode VII The Force Awakens with my husband. I took the 4 year old to see Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie, see our round up of 10 Snoopy and Charlie Brown crafts here. Fingers crossed he’s going to enjoy opening all the Minecraft toys he asked for a couple of weeks ago because I have a feeling he’d rather they were Star Wars toys!
