I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 275}
Both my children love watching Blue Peter and applying for their Blue Peter badges. My son was delighted to receive his silver Blue Peter badge over the weekend. He spent ages writing a Blue Peter comic where he got to appear on the show and do an origami demonstration. He received a lovely letter back from Blue Peter along with his new badge. He’s asked me to make a banner for him to display all his badges so I will have fun making that for him.
Last week my daughter lost one of her front teeth. Her teeth have been slow to fall out and it seems like the bigger ones are pushing the baby teeth out. She’s been having trouble eating so my husband pulled the tooth out for her. She was pretty relieved and was happy to receive a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
On Saturday we spent the day at Ally Pally in North London. We used to live near it and it was so lovely to be back in the area with all the familiar landmarks. The weather was amazing (if a little cold) and we had a great day with friends.
There’s something about these colder months that just makes me want to stay indoors and hibernate. We’ve been planning a few changes to our house and spent some time over the weekend having a clear out. It’s amazing how much ‘stuff’ the children have that they don’t need or want. I’ll be a little embarrassed to take so many bags of toys to the charity shop, but at least someone else will enjoy playing with their toys.
Our little Bichon Frise pup turned 10 weeks old this weekend. Life with him has been a steep learning curve! I’ve been reading Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy to help with the puppy training which has helped a lot. We’re trying to encourage good behaviour and down play the naughty behaviour (such as biting) and he seems to be learning some good behaviour! He loves to play outside in the garden and his personality is coming out more every day.
Have a lovely week everybody.

January 27, 2020 at 10:49 pmSounds like a lovely week and well done on your son for getting his silver blue peter badge that’s amazing! My son recently got his very first badge (a green one) and was over the moon. Your new little pup is very cute too, I bet its a big adjustment getting used to have a pup around though!
