Monday Happy List {Week 128}

Brickheadz Belle figure

This week has been a bit hit and miss. I’ve been busy planning for my son’s birthday which is on Saturday. He’s turning 7 which is kinda shocking as I remember the day he was born as if it was yesterday. We’re having a low key day with some of his friends coming over, then taking him out for dinner. Currently there’s a huge pile of presents to be wrapped in the corner of my bedroom – I’m not quite sure how he hasn’t guessed what’s hiding under the Spiderman blanket!

Every week I try and write a post about 5 things which have brought me some happiness. Sometimes it can be hard to think of 5, sometimes there are more than 5, for me it’s just about remembering the small things and focussing on them.

I love Lego and my husband surprised me with the Brickheadz Belle figure. I made it this week and sits alongside the Robin figure my husband bought for himself. They are a really cute size and I hope they bring out some more. I’m really looking forward to the new version of Beauty and the Beast (although my 6 year old has declared he won’t be watching it with us!).

My daughter got her first badge at Rainbows. In fact both my children got badges this week, my son now has 3 lines of badges down his arm which he’s very proud of! This week my daughter is taking her Rainbows Promise which she’s looking forward to.

I spent one morning using some of the fabric I had bought at the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show last week. I think this is a record for me but I love sewing with Liberty fabrics and I made some pretty gifts for Mother’s Day.

Our weekend was busy as we spent Saturday with some friends and visited The Art Of The Brick: DC Super Heroes exhibition in London. The models were amazing and the children loved it. It was so nice to be out and about in the fresh air too.

Yesterday was spent finishing off the kitchen. A few weeks ago we papered one wall with my favourite Orla Kiely stem print paper but ran out! So it was nice to finish another project in our house as the list is seemingly endless.

      They are so cute and quick to build. There are only 12 at the moment but I really hope they add to the line up.

      I love florals at this time of year – perfect for the Spring weather we’re having.
