Every Monday I sit down and take 10 minutes to think about the high points of the previous week. Sometimes I struggle to find 5 things, and sometimes there are too many. Last week was quite quiet so I was able to find time for lots of baking and crafting.
Monday Happy List – week 122
The highpoint of last week must be starting with a day at the V&A, one of my favourite galleries. There were some exhibitions I had wanted to see for a while and I managed to visit the Undressed exhibition, Opus Anglicanum exhibition as well as the free Lockwood Kipling: Arts and Crafts in the Punjab and London display. It was a great visit and the exhibitions and free displays completely inspired me, definitely money well spent.
My daughter has been enjoying Rainbows so we bought her uniform. Eeek, it was a little expensive but now she has everything she needed and was really happy to go and look like everyone else. Last week they learned about Chinese New Year and she came home with some lovely decorations she had made.
I spent a few hours volunteering at my children’s school where I help with Active Reading. I go in for a couple of hours a week and really enjoy it. I’ve even asked about more volunteering opportunities so we’ll see what happens.
On Saturday I had a day with my 6 year old. We went into London for a preview of the Lego Batman Movie, followed by lunch at Planet Hollywood. We finished off our day with a trip to the Lego Store in Leicester Square and a walk through Chinatown to see the Chinese New Year decorations. I love spending time with just one of my children at a time. When they’re together they’re always fighting for attention and it was lovely to have proper chats with him, even if they were all about Lego!
I did quite a lot of paper cutting, making a few things from the latest Embellish Box, as well as some of the templates from Mollie Makes Creativity. There were some baking experiments too, so the cake tin was pretty much full last week 🙂
Have a great week everyone.
