Monday Happy List – Week 118

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are doing something nice for St Stephen’s Day. I know it’s Christmas. Time for my weekly Monday Happy List blog post.

Last week was pretty hectic trying to get everything ready for Christmas. We are spending Christmas at home with my mum but it still felt quite busy – last minute present shopping, buying food and cleaning the house. We were busy with a Christmas party at Beavers, my children had a karate lesson and I helped my daughter and her class walk to school for a church service on the last day of term too.

I managed to fit in some last minute crafts too. I loved making the winter solstice candle holder, our Christmas Eve crate and there was some cheeky paper cutting too.

Term finished on Wednesday and both my children had birthday parties to go to. It felt slightly strange shopping for birthday parties and eating birthday cake but it also kept the children busy, which was great!

My 6 year old and I had a date and went to watch Rogue One : A Star Wars Story. He had already seen it the week before but was happy to watch it with me again. He thinks it is the best Star Wars film ever and I loved it too.

Lego for Christmas

Christmas Day was lovely. It was actually pretty quiet after all the build up but the children loved their presents and we had a lovely Christmas lunch at home. My husband bought me an Apple Watch and some Orla Kiely perfume. My 5 year old daughter for lots of the Playmobil Pirates range and my 6 year old son received so much Lego: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back Hoth Attack, Rogue One Imperial Assault Hovertank, Rogue One Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle and Rogue One K-2S0. My son spent most of the day building Lego which I think must be his favourite way to spend the day.
