I love crafting with styrofoam baubles. We’ve made a styrofoam snowman, styrfoam pumpkin, and even a styrofoam spider. I have lots of them so am always trying to think of different uses for them. Today I’m sharing my tutorial for stash buster Liberty scrap baubles. This is the perfect activity if you have any left over fabric scraps, but I think Liberty fabrics are exceptionally pretty.
Equipment needed to make Liberty scrap baubles:
scraps of Liberty fabrics
PVA glue
water
bowl and brush
styrofoam balls
How to make Liberty scrap baubles:
Cut the scraps into small pieces about 1cm square.
In a bowl mix the PVA glue with some water, cover small patches of the ball with the glue mixture and press the fabric squares around the ball.
Brush more of the glue mixture over the fabric until the whole ball is covered.
I decided to hang my baubles by pinning a length of string to the top of each one. This was also a good way to hang them to dry.
I used the same fabric on each ball but they would also look sweet if you mixed up the fabric. I love my Liberty scrap baubles, I think they might be staying out a little longer than just Christmas!

December 20, 2014 at 8:50 pmThese look fab and not too difficult either. My son had some of these balls in his craft kid and we have been trying to decide what to do with them so think we might give these a go tomorrow! Thanks for the ideas xx
