Motivational banners are really fashionable at the moment. I made a cute little one at Blogtacular last weekend and thought this would be a fun craft to try at home with the children.
Materials needed to make a kid friendly motivational banner:
card
self adhesive faux leather letters
bakers twine
hole punch
How to make a kid friendly motivational banner:
With Sports Day coming up I wanted to make something easy to read and to the point. I found some brilliant faux leather silver letters in The Works and knew these would work perfectly.
I chose a brightly coloured card and cut out my banner shape. I drew lines in pencil to use as a guide for lining up my letters.
Once I had the letters in the right place I rubbed out the lines. I used a punch to make holes at the top of the banner and added a length of bakers twine to hang it.
I made one for my son with the words “Try Your Best’ as I say this to him a lot. I made one for my kitchen too which says “Mother Knows Best”, influenced by watching Tangled one too many times with my daughter.
This is a great kid friendly craft too. I made a couple of extra banners which my children decorated for their own rooms. They used colouring pens, stickers and anything they could find to make their own lovely banners.
The finished motivational banners are fun and form a great display alongside the little banner I made last week.
What motivational saying would you put on yours?

Such a great way to motivate! Thank you for sharing it with us #pintorials
“Mother Knows Best” is my favorite! I don’t think my kids would agree though haha. #LetKidsBeKids
