6 ways to celebrate Miffy’s 60th birthday

Posted on June 21, 2015June 10, 2024 by jenny

Today Miffy turns 60 and I think she’s looking pretty good for her age. We were lucky enough to attend Miffy’s party before attending the UK charity premiere of ‘miffy the movie’ this morning. We were also able to meet Miffy herself. As today is her birthday I thought I would share 6 ways to celebrate Miffy’s 60th birthday.

6 ways to celebrate Miffy’s 60th birthday

1. Miffy UK online shop

The Miffy UK online shop relaunched today and is full of beautiful products. I love miffy’s dream lamp and some of the cushions may have been Pinned to my Pinterest wish list!

2. Miffy the movie

Based on the stories by Dick Bruna, miffy the movie won best children’s film when it opened in the Netherlands in 2013. The film uses stop frame animation to tell the story of Miffy and her friends going on a treasure hunt in a zoo. We saw it today and loved it, the music is very catchy and we have been singing it all day! miffy the movie launches on UK iTunes and Google Play on 23 June 2015.

3. Miffy Art Parade
An art parade celebrating 60 years of Miffy has just launched, featuring 60 statues of the white bunny decorated by Dutch and Japanese artists and designers. The statues are now on public display: 45 in the Netherlands and 15 with a touring exhibition in Japan. You can read more about this and download images HERE. Fingers crossed we are off to see of the statues next month.

4. Miffy & Jane Foster
Miffy has paired up with screenprinter Jane Foster to produce a limited edition run of beautiful accessories featuring vintage fabrics. 60 products went on sale today at Jane Foster’s online shop.

5. Miffy & UNIQLO
If you’re looking for stylish Miffy-wear for your little one then check out this cute range available at UNIQLO stores worldwide! Read more HERE. I snapped up a sweet little tee for my daughter and the range is currently on sale so grab yourself a bargain!

6. Miffy Milestone Cards
If you’re pregnant or have a new born baby, or you have a toddler who keeps saying funny things, then check out the new Miffy Milestone cards – photo cards that let you remember key memorable moments. To find our more about Milestone cards click HERE.
