My children are so excited for Christmas. I feel a huge amount of responsibility to make it truly magical for them, without making them into spoilt children along the way.
I thought this year might be the year that my son discovered that Father Christmas wasn’t real. Thankfully he is still a 100% believer and has been so excited to come downstairs every day, open his Advent calendars and see where our naughty Elf has moved to.
Of course Christmas can be magical whether you believe in Father Christmas or not. Christmas is my most favourite time of the year, and I love making sure everything goes smoothly, from the advent calendars to the new pyjamas, picking our special Christmas film or tracking NORAD Santa. Whilst we were sitting eating dinner last night my 7 year old asked me which was my favourite day between the 1st December and Twelfth Night. I said my favourite day was 1st December (I just love seeing their faces when they come downstairs and see all the Advent goodies). My 6 year old said her favourite day was Christmas Day, whilst my son enjoys Christmas Eve – getting new pyjamas and watching NORAD Santa! It was a lovely little insight into their minds and made me so happy that we have our special family traditions.
This Advent we were sent a very special Christmas box filled with advent-ready products, such as pyjamas, slippers, mugs and soft toys from the Disney Store. I love working with the Disney Store, it’s where we spend most Saturday mornings to be honest!
Both children received their very own Christmas box filled with their favourite franchise. Big Brother received A Nightmare Before Christmas and Little Sis The Lion Guard.
Christmas is about giving as much as receiving and we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure no one is forgotten this year with some lovely handmade gifts.
The Disney Store is a wonderful place to explore, especially at Christmas. This festive season they are promoting the message #GiftMagic, which is all about the joy of giving and receiving gifts. My children were both delighted to receive their gifts. They loved putting on their new pyjamas and drinking hot chocolate whilst winding down with an episode of their favourite Disney show before bed.
I’d love to hear what you are looking forward to giving (or receiving!) this year. I would love anything from the Star Wars range as I’m sure there will be some great products to tie in to the new Star Wars film, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, which is released later this month. I already have my eye on one of those cute little Porgs!

December 7, 2017 at 9:44 amHow cute are those pyjamas. My two have outgrown Disney now with the exception of Star Wars but it used to be our number one Christmas shopping destination.
