Getting ready for Easter with Matalan

The children enjoy Easter almost as much as Christmas and we love to make Easter cards and decorations, bake Easter treats and go on an Easter egg hunt. This year Matalan kindly sent us a big basket full of their Easter range to show you. Over the last few days we have been busy trying everything out.

I usually pop into Matalan to buy clothes for the children. They are always great quality and wear well. I seem to have missed a trick though as I didn’t realise they sell so many other things!

The children have already made their Easter cards thanks to a cute little Easter cards kit. It included stickers and tissue paper and they loved scrunching up the paper and making their own cards. It was a great after school activity to keep them busy!

They got messy with the paint with this fun Decorate Your Own Easter Eggs kit and we will be hanging the finished eggs on our seasonal tree.

Matalan have plenty of products to help you make delicious Easter treats in the shape of craft and baking supplies. We all love the Easter cookie cutters and Easter cake accessories kit. We’ve already had a family baking session and whipped up some Weetabix nests with chocolate eggs, and decorated them using Matalan cake cases and toppers.

We are going away over the Easter holidays and now we have a picnic bag and blanket as well as some activities in case the weather is good – a frisbee, bottles of bubbles, garden magnifier and bug keeper. I’m really looking forward to lots of family time and this will help keep all ages occupied!

Fingers crossed the weather will be kind to us but we have a few items to keep us busy indoors too, such as colouring books and crayons, an adult colouring book (which my 5 year old immediately took for himself!) and a Minions story book. My children love curling up together on the sofa and sharing a good book.

I’ll be packing the Easter Hunt kit to take away with us as it contains everything we need to keep our Easter traditions wherever we are. My 5 year old keeps asking what colour eggs he will be looking for, so at least the only thing I need to worry about is buying the eggs!

Thank you Matalan for helping make our Easter extra special.
