Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to sit down and write.
Five Happy Things {Week 472}
We are currently on a two week half term so we started our week with a trip to the King’s Cross Monster Trail to discover the scary monsters hiding around the place. My daughter loved following the clues to find the monsters and it was a great way to explore the area. We stopped for delicious pizza at Happy Face which was amazing. When we got home we decorated some spooky gingerbread men.
I managed to finish another handmade gift so I feel like I’m doing well by starting earlier this year. I have pulled out a few more kits I want to make to give to people, and also to decorate our house this year.
My sister is celebrating a big birthday next month so I wanted to make her something special. I used my supply of vintage Scrabble tiles to make a Scrabble inspired gift for her. I can’t wait to see what she thinks.
As she came to visit we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea from Patisserie Brione in Eastcote. We decorated the house with balloons and shared some Prosecco. We’ve enjoyed their afternoon tea a few times and it never fails to disappoint.
Now the clocks have gone back the evenings feel really long. We enjoyed a lovely autumnal dog walk around the Lido with friends but it got dark so early. I’m not sure I’m ready for winter just yet.
Have a great week.
