Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Five Happy Things {Week 455}
I managed to go and watch my daughter’s Sports Day on Monday. This was the first time I had gone to watch her and it was lovely to see her having so much fun and taking part in a few races. She took part in the long distance, sprint and relay races.
My son was away at his first school residential. Although he’s in Year 8 he didn’t get to experience the usual Year 5 and Year 6 residential trips due to covid restrictions. He was away for three days and had a great time with his friends.
My daughter asked to do some fun things whilst our son was away with school, so we watched Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny which was really good and entertaining. We also went for the limited edition Lotus Biscoff McFlurries at McDonalds which were amazing.
I finished reading the Night Train to Marrakech by Dinah Jefferies, the third book in the Daughters of War trilogy. I always enjoy reading her books and loved the setting of Morocco.
We booked a summer holiday! We don’t usually leave it so late in the year but we’ve booked a week glamping in Dorset. It’s been a while since we last went glamping with kids but we had a lot of fun. We’ve already started picking up some huge marshmallows to toast on our fire pit, as well as some outdoor games to play.
Have a great week!
