Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 453}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Five Happy Things {Week 453}

Last week I finished a sunflower cross stitch from the latest Craftpod sub box. I don’t usually choose to cross stitch but I actually enjoyed the repetitive nature of the pattern. Although we planted our sunflowers a few weeks ago they are not growing very well, so this may be the best sunflowers I make this year! I also finished a sweet little hoop kit featuring the words Take Care from Cotton Clara.

My daughter has been playing the trumpet for a few months now and was inited to try orchestra. She really enjoyed herself, so I’m hoping it will encourage her to keep on playing.

A few weeks ago we were sent two new board games to try: 2 Way Cards and 2 Way Letters. My daughter just loves board games as much as I do so we have been enjoying trying them out. Both games are quite quick and easy and perfect for 2 players, so it’s good to have games we can play together, and they are educational too!

I told you about my new bike last week and I’ve already been out on it twice. The evenings have been a little cooler so we enjoyed a family bike ride. I managed 4 miles which wasn’t too bad. The kids are already planning our next bike ride.

It feels like I’ve been reading a but more recently. I finished Bognor and Other Regises: A Potted History of Britain in 100 Royal Palaces. It’s been a while since I ready a history book but I picked this up at my local library and really enjoyed it. This was book 16 out of my 2023 Goodreads Reading Challenge, which means I’m exactly on target!

Have a great week everyone!

    It’s great that you are making good use of your bike. 4 miles is good going. I’m sure that will gradually increase in time.

    I absolutely love reading your Happy List posts! It’s wonderful to see the joy and happiness you find in the little things. Your cross stitch and hoop kit projects turned out beautifully, and it’s fantastic that your daughter is enjoying playing the trumpet and trying out orchestra. The new board games sound like a lot of fun, and it’s great that you’re getting to spend quality time together as a family. Your bike rides and progress on your reading challenge are impressive! Keep spreading positivity and have an amazing week ahead!
