February is such a short month and I think that’s reflected in my crafting time this month. Plus I had half term and Covid which meant I didn’t spend as much time on my crafting hobbies as I would have liked. However I still wanted to blog about my crafting adventures this month.
February crafting
At the beginning of the month I made a sleep mask out of some gorgeous Liberty fabrics. I love crafting with Liberty fabrics and surrounding myself with pretty, and useful, items.
Choosing what Liberty fabrics to use made me think of the Liberty tumbler quilt top I planned to make (back in early 2020 before Covid took over our lives). I’ve been meaning to pick it up again and took it away with me over half term. It was fun to make the 2″ diamonds in black, red and white fabrics. I actually made so many EPP that I needed to order some more Liberty fabrics.
I hosted a giveaway for some pretty fat quarter bundles, as well as tickets to The Creative Craft Show in Birmingham.
I also started stitching a Cotton Clara LONDON X MAPTOTE embroidery kit which was a Christmas gift from my mum. I don’t have many London themed hoops and this features a London bus, London black cab, a telephone box and Big Ben, amongst other famous symbols of London.
I’ve also been reading The Dress Diary of Mrs Anne Sykes: Secrets from a Victorian Woman’s Wardrobe which I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on. It’s a really interesting book.

March 2, 2023 at 7:40 pmI love that you made your own sleep mask. I never thought to do something like that but I need a new one. I might try doing it myself.

March 3, 2023 at 3:59 pmA pretty sleep mask made with loving hands. I like that. And the way you say “surrounding myself with pretty, and useful, items.” I’m with you there. I have discovered a home rarely looks messy when you leave beautiful stuff laying around 😉
