Superhero bookmark for Fathers Day

Superhero bookmark for Fathers Day

Both the children were off school yesterday thanks to an Inset Day. We used our time to make a fun Father’s Day craft as my children love surprising their Dad with homemade gifts and cards.

We used:
Craft sticks
Felt
Cardboard
Colouring pens
Googly eyes
Glue stick

How to make a Superhero bookmark for Father’s Day

This little bookmark was my daughter’s idea so we had to follow her instructions.

The first step was the children going through our felt supplies and choosing their favourite colours. Then they cut a rough triangle from their chosen colour for their superheroes cape.

They cut a large rectangle from a piece of card to make the body. At the top they drew on a superhero mask.

Then chose some googly eyes to stick over the mask.

Then everything was glued in place. The body was stuck onto the craft stick, which was glued onto the cape.

This is a lovely simple craft for kids and you could add a message onto the body to personalise it even more. The children loved making their Superhero bookmarks and I think they make great handmade gifts to give this Father’s Day. My children had so much fun that my daughter made 5 of them, my son made 3. It’s a good job that my husband reads plenty of books 🙂
