Easy Halloween Bookmarks

{Free printable} Easy Halloween Bookmarks

Posted on September 29, 2020 by jenny

I went shopping to a shopping mall for the first time in months today. I usually enjoy shopping and picked up some great Halloween items so we can celebrate it at home. My children enjoy Halloween too which I why I came up with this easy Halloween bookmark craft for kids. I have two little bookworms and they love to make a themed bookmark. These will keep them happy all through pumpkin season!

List of supplies:

Pencil
Coloured card
Craft sticks
Craft glue
Sharpie
Scissors
Halloween bookmark template

How to make easy Halloween bookmarks:

Gather your supplies for the Halloween bookmark crafts; white card for the ghost, orange and green card for the pumpkin. My free printable template also has parts for a bat and cat if you want to make them all. You will need black or grey for the bat and cat bookmarks.

Print out my free Halloween bookmark template and trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers. Use scissors to cut out the traced patterns.

The ghost template includes 1 pattern only. The pumpkin has 2 patterns (the pumpkin and the stem). We used green card for the stem and orange card for the pumpkin. Glue the stem on the top middle part of the pumpkin.

Halloween bookmarks

Use a pencil to draw the eyes and mouth of the ghost and pumpkin and then colour in with a black sharpie.

Halloween bookmarks for kids to make

Attach the ghost and pumpkin onto craft sticks using craft glue to complete the bookmarks.

You can trace, cut out and glue the patterns for the bat and cat to complete those Halloween bookmarks too.

Awww these are so so cute! And what a fab way to encourage kids to get reading too. These would be the perfect addition to a spooky story or book!
