Easy Cricut made personalised chocolate wrappers

Easy Cricut made personalised chocolate wrappers

Posted on December 18, 2019December 21, 2019 by jenny

I love using my Cricut Maker and Christmas is the perfect time to use it and make some extra special handmade gifts. I’ve made some fun things this year including Advent calendars, a wooden Christmas countdown, name tags for Christmas Day and a bib for my sister’s dog! There are so many more things I would love to make if I had the time!

Cadbury have joined with Age UK to fight loneliness

I’ve already spoiled my children this year but I couldn’t resist adding one more thing to their stockings, limited edition Cadbury chocolate bars which I spotted in the Co-Op. Cadbury recently joined with Age UK to fight loneliness. Did you know that 1.4 million older people struggle with loneliness. 225,000 often go a whole week without speaking to anyone.

Cadbury are donating the words from their Cadbury Dairy Milk bars to help. For every limited edition bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk sold (which costs £3.99), Cadbury will donate 30p to Age UK to help them support older people through their national advice line, telephone friendship service and more.

The chocolate bars have been left blank with just the famous Cadbury logo of milk pouring from beakers on the front of the wrapper.

The whole idea of the bar is to raise awareness of Age UK and the wrappers have purposefully been left blank to reinforce the message. However I couldn’t resist personalising them using my Cricut Maker. I added a little message in Design Space and cut it from white vinyl.

They were pretty easy to weed and I added to the front of each wrapper. The bar was a little bumpy which made it tricky to smooth in place but it didn’t take too long.

It was so easy to use my Cricut Maker to add a personal touch and make personalised chocolate wrappers. They are huge bars of chocolate so I’m hoping they last my children a long time!

I’ve seen these limited edition Cadbury bars in Asda, B&M and Sainsburys but I’m sure you can get them in other places too.

What a clever idea! I’d never heard of Cricut Maker before, so this post was a real eye-opener for me.
