The other day I made a super sweet fabric envelope for my daughter. Yesterday I made something for my son from Duck Tape! As much as I loved the Liberty envelope I knew he would like something a little more robust so crafted an envelope from Duck Tape.
Duck Tape Valentine envelope craft
I love crafting with Duck Tape and they have a great range of colours for this time of year. Envelopes are pretty simple to make and you an make them any size, perfect for a chocolate heart or little card.
First I made a Duck Tape sheet by covering both sides of an A4 piece of paper with strips of Duck Tape.
I trimmed the edges using my Swann Morton scalpel then folded my sheet by turning the sheet so the short side faced me. I turned the bottom up and folded the top down until I was happy with the dimensions.
I folded the top corners into the centre to make a point and cut the flaps using my scalpel.
I covered all the edges with Duckling Tape which is thinner Duck Tape and finished my super simple Duck Tape Valentine envelope. You can add velcro dots if you want the enclosure to stay shut. I actually made a couple as I wasn’t sure if my son would appreciate pink! He loved the chocolate and I think he loved his little pouch too.
