Have you crafted anything for Father’s Day? This year it falls upon June 15th and we’ve been busy making some little gifts.
Recently we received a small package of craft materials as we’re members of the Bostik Craft Club. One of the products was a Blu Tack blu stick which my 4 year old immediately claimed as his own. We were also given coloured tissue paper and card. He’s been badgering me for a while about using it so today we did and made a cut out Father’s Day card.
Materials you will need:
paper template
craft knife
self-healing cutting mat
Blu Tack blu stick
tissue paper
This craft required a little preparation. First I printed out the word ‘Daddy’ on a sheet of paper and cut the letters out with a craft knife. Then I cut a range of coloured tissue paper into small squares. I find getting everything ready makes it easier for my 4 year old to craft.
My son was excited to be making something for his Daddy. I gave him a sheet of card which he covered with glue. The blu stick is blue so it’s really easy to see where you’ve spread it.
He had fun with the pieces of tissue paper and covered the card.
Then we took the piece of cut out paper and covered the back of it with more of the blu stick. The glue looks really dark but it quickly dries clear.
I helped my son place it over the tissue paper to reveal a very colourful picture for Daddy.

This looks so lovely!
Thanks for sharing at #Pintorials 🙂
What a lovely idea, nothing beats a homemade gift or card! Thanks for linking up to this weeks #parentingpinitparty
What a great idea. It looks so effective. I’m sure he’ll love it!
I’ve featured it this week on The Sunday Showcase http://www.herecomethegirlsblog.com/2014/06/09/fathers-day-crafts.html
