As an avid crafter I love to see which crafts are going to be big at Christmas. On a very hot day in the summer holidays I went into London for the Hobbycraft Autumn/Winter press show which featured ideas for Halloween and Christmas. There were so many lovely things to see and I’ve been patiently waiting for the items to hit the shelves of my local Hobbycraft for weeks!
Christmas ideas from Hobbycraft
I’m going to share some of the many photos I snapped at the press show. First there was a large area dedicated to Advent calendars. Hobbycraft sell plain versions which you can jazz up any way you like. I liked the way they had displayed one wooden calendar two different ways to show you the endless possibilities! There was also a Frozen-inspired calendar which I thought was lovely.
The Frozen theme carried over to the wreaths with this Frozen-inspired wreath which doesn’t look too difficult to re-create at home. The colours are lovely for a winter wreath.
I loved the baking section. As you all know I love baking cupcakes and gingerbread and there were some lovely ideas. Look at this fun way to decorate your Christmas fruit cake with gingerbread houses!
The edible gift tags were fun and I can imagine my children wanting to help make these!
I bought these chocolate moulds which I saw as I think they will make fun gifts for the children’s teachers this Christmas.
I loved the hampers that had been put together, perfect for a baker or crafty person. I think I will be making a few of these for family this year as I love to give personalised gifts.
There were decorations and cards and so many other things I loved. I pop in to my local Hobbycraft every couple of weeks and have picked up some great products to help decorate our house and make gifts this year. I hope you’ve seen something to inspire you too!
