A few weeks ago we heard about the Wicked Uncle Challenge. We al know how hard it can be to buy the right present for a child. I know my own children and they can be a nightmare. They ask for something for ages. They receive it for Christmas or a birthday and look blankly when they open it as they no longer want it or have grown out of it. These days with so many new toys constantly coming out it can be hard choosing the perfect birthday present for kids. This is where Wicked Uncle comes in.
Never heard of Wicked Uncle before? I hadn’t either but I love the site so much I have to share it with you. Basically Wicked Uncle helps you choose the perfect present. Don’t believe me? I asked my sister to choose gifts for my children. I have a boy aged 6 and a girl aged 4. They are completely unpredictable. My sister has no experience of children this age any more and never knows what to get them.
My sister took a look at the Wicked Uncle site. It has several handy features to help identify the right present for the right child. She was able to search by gender and age and also category to see what kind of gifts they stock.
The 6 year old is creative and my sister found lots of things she knew he would love. She eventually settled on the Suitcase Sewing Kit. Although it was recommended for ages 8 and over she thought it would be perfect for him as he loves sewing.
The 4 year old loves small world play so she thought the Lilypad Garden – Grow & Play would be the perfect choice. My daughter loves making fairy gardens and this would give her the opportunity to try growing something too.
My sister found the site really easy to use and order through. The true test though was did the children love their gifts?
Luckily the Wicked Grown Up picked the right gifts! My son was over the moon with his sewing kit. It’s a great first sewing kit and I know we will have fun making the items through the colder months when he can’t play outside so much.
My daughter really loves her fairy garden. She’s been able to add some of her own fairy collection to it and had hours of play from it. We’re waiting for Spring to plant our seeds but we’re planning on making some paper flowers to fill the plant pot.
Thank you Wicked Uncle for inviting us to take the Wicked Uncle Challenge!
