A few weeks ago my husband treated us to a family Afternoon Tea to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Whilst Afternoon Tea in London might not be most people’s way of celebrating, we thought it was the perfect treat for our little family. I had spent the morning at a botanical papercutting workshop, so after it had finished I headed over to Mayfair in London’s West End to meet up with the rest of the family. Afternoon tea in London It’s been a while since we’ve treated ourselves to Afternoon Tea in London. Over the last few years ago we’ve…

A few weeks ago I heard that a Yayoi Kusama installation was coming to London and I immediately booked tickets. I am so glad I did because they quickly sold out. I booked for a day during half term and this was our only planned day out in London. Yayoi Kusama: THE MOVING MOMENT WHEN I WENT TO THE UNIVERSE The Yayoi Kusama installation is a free event at the Victoria Miro gallery near Old Street. Arriving at our allotted time, we showed our tickets and were allowed inside the gallery. Handed another ticket, we were then ushered upstairs to queue…

We were in London last week and just had to stop off to visit the brand new Harry Potter Wand Walk. Have you heard about it? Helping to raise awareness of Lumos, the charity set up by J.K Rowling which works towards ending the institutionalisation of children around the globe, the installation has been created with the City of London Arts initiative ahead of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald next month. Wizarding World Wands Supporting Lumos Fantastic Beasts: Wizarding World Wands Supporting Lumos is a free installation, open to the public between 18th October and 12th November. Head down…

I have been looking forward to today for weeks as I had planned to visit the Knitting & Stitching Show with a friend. We had a busy day out yesterday but I was just about ready to go when she arrived to pick me up. I love the Knitting & Stitching Show and try to go every year (see links to previous years below). Now I am back at work I was looking forward to spending some hard earned cash! Hiding from the rain at the Knitting & Stitching Show I woke up to rain and it hasn’t really stopped all…

A few days ago I mentioned that we were looking forward to the KidPreneur festival at KidZania London today. We are huge fans of KidZania, it’s a great immersive experience for kids giving them the chance to try out over 60 activities for themselves. It had been 6 months since our last visit so we were looking forward to seeing what was new and attending some of the talks and workshops which were part of the KidPreneur festival. A day at the KidPreneur Festival at KidZania London The KidPreneur festival is dedicated to celebrating young entrepreneurship and inspiring the next generation…

It’s been a long time since we went and picked our own fruit and veg. In fact it is over5 years ago when we used to live in North London. Then we ventured north to Parkside Farm Pick Your Own Farm in Enfield. I think we had one child, there may have been two. What I did know was that another visit was well overdue. Now we live in West London it made sense to find something a little nearer us. So I looked online and found Copas Farms Pick Your Own. They have two sites, one at Iver Heath…

It’s one of our family traditions that during the Summer holidays we’ll have a trip to Legoland Windsor. This year 365 Tickets kindly gifted us a family ticket so we could visit this weekend. I was a bit worried about spending all day outdoors but we packed water, hats, more water and sun tan lotion and set off bright and early. Keeping the kids busy at Legoland Windsor Legoland Windsor actually opens at 9.30 which gives you half an hour to park, get through the bag check and have a quick loo break before any of the rides open. We…

I think I’ve mentioned before that my 6 year old is crazy about dinosaurs. She loves reading about them and playing with her toy dinosaurs. We’ve recently been watching all the old Jurassic World films in the hope we may go and watch the latest film Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. My daughter has even go herself the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and I have to say the stickers make a pleasant change from the ones she used to collect (Frozen!). Last month we had a great trip to experience Dinosaurs in the Wild on the Greenwich Peninsula in London. It got me…

My 6 year old is just crazy about dinosaurs so it wasn’t hard to accept an invitation to Dinosaurs in the Wild on the Greenwich Peninsula, London. We don’t often go to this side of London but it didn’t take long on the Underground and before we knew it we were blinking in the sunshine at North Greenwich. A visit to Dinosaurs in the Wild, Greenwich Peninsula, London Dinosaurs in the Wild is just a 10 minute walk from North Greenwich Underground station. We arrived and were greeted by the friendly staff and ushered into the huge pop up building which…
