This year we had a lot of wrapping paper and cards left over after Christmas. We try to recycle as much as possible to reduce our waste so the children and I have been using up some of this paper in our crafts. This week we’ve been making some Valentine decorations and have had fun with our coiled paper heart craft. You will need: wrapping paper scissors glue dots ruler heart-shaped cookie cutter How to make coiled paper hearts We experimented and cut our wrapping paper into short strips (longer strips will give larger coils). This year I am really looking forward to working with some great craft brands and I am excited to be sharing a post today which has been sponsored by Bostik. We received a wonderful box of craft supplies and Bostik glues to make something special for Valentines Day. With both children off sick from school yesterday, it was the perfect activity to keep them occupied. The craft supplies included brightly coloured paper and felt so we decided to make some Scandi style felt heart decorations for our living room. Traditionally made at Christmas time, I didn’t see why we couldn’t…

I admit we’re quite addicted to making these kid-friendly luminaries. There is always a good supply of empty glasses and LED tea lights in our house so this is a fun craft for kids to make and give as a gift. Easy…

As fans of Lego I thought it was about time I pulled together a list of the Lego crafts we have had fun with. When I was younger I had a few tubs of Lego bricks and remember receiving some Lego Technic sets which I really enjoyed building and re-building. Today I am still happily surrounded by Lego. My husband loves Lego as much as I do and fortunately the children seem to love it too. I hope you enjoy some of these Lego crafts for kids and adults. 11 Lego crafts for kids and adults We’re lucky to live…

I’m so excited to be starting the year by working with Staedtler again. You may remember we teamed up last year and we had lots of fun with their products. They kindly sent me a bundle of products to use with my children, the first one we tried was one of the FIMO form & play sets. It can’t have escaped your notice that a pretty big film came out at the end of last year. My 5 year old loved The Force Awakens and now is a huge fan of all things Star Wars. I knew he would love…

It’s been a beautifully quiet week. The children only went back to nursery and school on Tuesday and we all enjoyed a short week. After school clubs start this week so I’m glad we had a slow start to the year. My 5 year old has discovered hot chocolate so we treated ourselves to a loaded hot chocolate in a new cafe on the high street. I’ve spent the evenings working on my Liberty rainbow quilt. I’ve finished the top and backed it with a gorgeous Liberty print. This week I’ll be hand stitching the binding and hope to…

Regular readers will know I enjoy crafting with Duck Tape. It’s a really versatile material to craft with and late last year I discovered Duck Glitter crafting tape, which is Duck Tape with a glitter effect which doesn’t come off. There are a variety of colours and perfect for winter crafts! I decided to make some decorations and my Duck glitter crafting tape balls were born! This is a simple craft project and I used Duck Glitter crafting tape, polystyrene balls and scissors. I decided to cover each ball in one colour and cut the Duck Glitter tape into small pieces,…

Have you seen the new Star Wars film yet? My husband has seen it twice and my 5 year old has seen it once so far. I’m really hoping I’ll find a cinema ticket under the tree for me to go and see it! My 5 year old has fallen in love with BB-8 the cute little droid in Star Wars so I thought I would make him a special BB-8 droid Star Wars decoration.
