Are you celebrating Halloween in your house? Despite not celebrating it when I was growing up, it’s a festival that my children just adore. As soon as they started back at school last month they were asking when we could start decorating for Halloween! We love to decorate the house with our Halloween crafts, carve pumpkins, watch scary films and fill our cauldron with sweets for our Trick or Treat visitors. Trick or Treat: Fur-ociously Feisty Pets This year we were sent some toys to review which are just perfect for the time of year – Feisty Pets! Have you…

Photo by rawpixel on Unsplash The phrase says it all. “full-time Mum” is a 24/7 role, and one that can leave you wondering exactly where the hours, days and weeks went. The thought of trying to fit a job into the equation is enough to send you into a cold sweat. But we all know there are many who manage to combine parenting and part-time work. And if this is work that will also provide useful knowledge and skills in taking care of the family, surely that’s a win/win. The benefits of part time healthcare work for full-time Mums Is there a doctor in the house?…

We are a family which loves to play games. If they can be squeezed in a bag for a weekend away – even better! As members of the Blogger Board Game Club we were recently sent the small game called Who Did It? to try out at home. Who Did It? from blue orange “My parrot did NOT poop in the middle of the living room, but I think a rabbit did it!” As the proud owner of a cute little rabbit, you need to quickly clear it of this deed and put the blame on another’s pet. You must…

Yay! We’re on half term. And relax. I don’t know about you, but I have been looking forward to half term pretty much since the children went back to school in September. We haven’t planned much because we’re all pretty knackered. We’ve been busy at work and school and need a break from routine. One thing we will be doing is settling down with a family-sized bucket of popcorn to rediscover the classic Halloween titles which have stood the test of time. There are some spine-tingling films which are firm family favourites year after year. Spine-tingling family films for Halloween Skip the…

One of my sons first toys was a little car. It may be a huge generalisation but I think that most children love playing with toy cars at some stage of their lives. Both my children loved the Disney Pixar Cars franchise so we had many, many years of watching films about cars whilst they played with all the different car characters and playsets. There are many child development benefits in playing with toy cars. Amongst other things it’s known to aid their physical and cognitive development. Moving cars around helps their gross and fine motor skills, whilst moving cars…

Bring home the thrill of the escape room with Spy Code – Operation: Escape Room. Spy Code – Operation: Escape Room Choose a teammate to wear the escape belt and work together to free them. A few days ago I mentioned that we were looking forward to the KidPreneur festival at KidZania London today. We are huge fans of KidZania, it’s a great immersive experience for kids giving them the chance to try out over 60 activities for themselves. It had been 6 months since our last visit so we were looking forward to seeing what was new and attending some of the talks and workshops which were part of the KidPreneur festival.
