Our first picnic of the year took place at Langley Park. Now we are allowed to venture out further from home, we thought we would love to visit somewhere new. We’re frequent visitors to Black Park which is the other side of the A412, but had never visited Langley Park before. We packed the puppy and a picnic and set off to explore somewhere new. We love a public art trail. They are are a great way to encourage my kids to walk and it’s been a while since we explored the Walking with the Snowman public art trail at London Bridge City last year. Today we spent a day in London as we were invited to watch a preview of My Spy (it’s a really funny film and I will be telling you all about it soon). Whilst we were in London we made a visit to the Lego Store and had time to explore the new film character statue trail in London’s Leicester…

We’ve been wanting to get out to explore the latest art trail in London for a while. Did you know there was a Snowman art trail in town this winter? This year, London’s most picturesque Christmas market, Christmas by the River, has welcomed a festive sculpture trail celebrating Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman. The Snowman story has been an integral part of our book advent for a few years now. We love the story and have enjoyed the animated version to over the last few weeks. So when I heard there was an art trail dedicated to The Snowman I knew…

Today we were gifted tickets to SEA LIFE London Aquarium on the South Bank in Central London. We hopped on the Underground and soon emerged at Westminster station so we could enjoy a walk over Westminster Bridge in the sunshine. A trip to SEA LIFE London Aquarium with kids It’s been a while since our last visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium. I had a quick look through my old blog…

A few weeks ago we finally got to visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, aka the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to visit and I didn’t realise you had to book so far in advance. I’ve read all the books, watched the films, and tried to introduce my children to the magical world of Harry Potter too. They’ve watched most of the films so we thought we would book a family ticket and visit the studio tour together. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London We only live 20 minutes away from the Studio…

A few weeks ago I heard that a Yayoi Kusama installation was coming to London and I immediately booked tickets. I am so glad I did because they quickly sold out. I booked for a day during half term and this was our only planned day out in London. Yayoi Kusama: THE MOVING MOMENT WHEN I WENT TO THE UNIVERSE The Yayoi Kusama installation is a free event at the Victoria Miro gallery near Old Street. Arriving at our allotted time, we showed our tickets and were allowed inside the gallery. Handed another ticket, we were then ushered upstairs to queue…
