I love an easy after school craft activity to help my kids wind down. My 8 year old loves robots. He’s been drawing quite a few of them recently so we tried making them into 3D robots using some of our craft supplies. They turned out really well so I thought I’d share them. I’ve been looking forward to crafting with the children for a while. Last week was busy with after school clubs and playdates but today we finally had some crafting time. The weather has been warm and sunny today, a really Indian Summer. We should have been out making the most of it but it was lovely to look through the latest box of craft supplies we were sent at Bostik Bloggers. Each month we are sent Bostik craft supplies to make something, the theme was Space. Easy Craft Stick Star decorations We decided to make and decorate craft stick stars.…

Earlier this month we had fun with our Duck Tape bookmarks so we thought it was time to share another Back to School craft with you. My 6 year old is starting Year 2 in a few weeks. This is going to be a big change for her and I’m really hoping she will settle in well. A new school year means time to update the desk in her bedroom where she does her homework so we thought a little homemade DIY would brighten it up. She loves emojis so came up with our Emoji Pen Pots. How to make…

Can I say that we’re getting a tiny bit fed up of the British heatwave? It’s only the first week of the Summer holidays and I didn’t really expect to be spending so much time indoors. We’ve gone to the park first thing in the day before it gets too hot but otherwise we’re staying indoors and crafting and playing. Thankfully we were sent some craft supplies from Bostik which has kept us busy. July is a great month for flowers in the garden, luckily we haven’t had a hosepipe ban enforced yet. The children love to plant seeds so…

The 2018 Tour de France will be the 105th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling’s three Grand Tours. It’s an annual male multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally making passes through nearby countries. Like the other Grand Tours, it consists of 21 stages over a little more than 3 weeks. A few years ago we came up with our Tour de France inspired bicycle craft for kids. Today we’re sharing another fun bicycle craft for kids, inspired by the Tour de France. Tour de France bicycle craft for kids We used: green…

I’m sure it can’t have escaped your attention that everyone is obsessed with unicorns. I admit that we love unicorns too, I’ve even been drinking out of a unicorn mug for the last few months. We’ve made a few unicorn crafts, such as our unicorn painted rocks, but there’s always room for more. I’ve been thinking about making a colourful unicorn horn for a while and when we received our latest box of Bostik Bloggers craft supplies I knew we had everything we needed to make it. Tissue paper unicorn horn craft First I drew the outline of a unicorn…

After a pretty cold week I’m pretty sure the weather is supposed to be getting warmer and drier. Such a late Spring has really affected our garden and it is pretty devoid of colour. Thankfully our roses have sprung into life, they are one of my favourite plants, and I love watching them cover our back wall. They’ve inspired our latest craft activity – using colourful wool and lots of glue to make pretty yarn wrapped flowers. We didn’t do much crafting whilst we were away. We had fun with sticker books and decorated some painted rocks but nothing like…

Today the sun is shining at long last. It even feels a tiny bit warm but ssshh, I don’t want to jinx the weather just yet. With a touch of Spring in the air I thought it was a great time to have some after school fun with my daughter and create a hand print bird. She loves to use her hands and I think this kind of craft makes a great seasonal keepsake too. Is it too early to share our first Easter craft of the year? I know we still have our Valentine’s Day cards up around the house but the children had an Inset Day today so we made a start on our Easter crafting. Equipment to make polystyrene Easter chicks Polystyrene eggs Yellow tissue paper Orange foam Bostik Fine and Wide Glu Pen How to make polystyrene Easter chicks First we tore our yellow tissue paper into pieces and glued it to the polystyrene shapes using the Bostik Fine and Wide Glu Pen. The glue pen is double-ended which makes it perfect…
