EASY CRAFT STICK STAR DECORATIONS

Craft Stick Star decorations

Posted on September 16, 2018 by jenny

I’ve been looking forward to crafting with the children for a while. Last week was busy with after school clubs and playdates but today we finally had some crafting time. The weather has been warm and sunny today, a really Indian Summer. We should have been out making the most of it but it was lovely to look through the latest box of craft supplies we were sent at Bostik Bloggers. Each month we are sent Bostik craft supplies to make something, the theme was Space.

We decided to make and decorate craft stick stars. They are super simple for children to make and we used Bostik Glu Dots to hold everything together. first we gathered supplies – craft sticks (5 are needed for each star), Bostik Glu Dots and Bostik Glitter Pens to decorate them.

My 8 year old was able to make a star shape with the 5 craft sticks, and then glue them together, point to point, using a Glu Dot.

We really love using these Glu Dots as they are so mess free.

He made a couple of craft stick stars then wanted to decorate them. We’ve used Bostik Glitter Pens before and they are easy to use, you just need to apply a little pressure to squeeze the glitter out. They were a simple way to decorate each star.

The only downside with the Glitter Pens is that they take a while to dry, especially the amount my son uses! We placed our finished craft stick stars on the windowsill so they could dry before hanging them in the window.

Those look really easy to make. You’re right about the glitter pens being slow to dry – and my two always used to forget to put the tops back on!
