We’ve been working with Asmodee and are members of their Blogger Board Game Club, reviewing some classic and new family games. My children love to play all kinds of games and we’ve had lots of fun with Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne and Dixit amongst others. We were recently sent Cobra Paw to review and tell you about.
Blogger Board Game Club review: Cobra Paw
My children are big fans of Lego Ninjago so loved the look of Cobra Paw. The 6-sided box features a ninja cat which made us all laugh. They couldn’t wait to see what was inside the box. Inside were 21 Clawfuku Stones, 2 Catnippon Dice and instructions on how to play.
Cobra Paw is a tile- snatching challenge game which requires Ninja-like reflexes, sharp recognition skills and mental fortitude. Players take turns rolling the dice (which features 6 unique symbols), spotting the tile with the matching pattern, then grabbing it before their opponents. The first player to snatch up 6 tiles (or 8 in a 2-player game) wins!
We love this kind of memory game and the kids were very competitive! There are a few variations of the game which we also tried: Ghosts of the Fallen, No Touchy and Two Ninja Stand-Off. I liked the fact that the games were quite short. We’ve played Cobra Paw a few times because the children can play together whilst I’m cooking dinner, and I can join in when I can. It’s also a good size so will be great for taking with us on weekends away, especially over Christmas. Cobra Paw is reasonably priced at only £14.99.
