Twinkle tog wearable quilt review

Posted on March 28, 2011June 4, 2012 by jenny

With Edward turning the grand old age of one I was thinking about moving him out of his sleeping bag and using a pillow and duvet. We were offered a Twinkle Tog wearable quilt to review and I was happy to try it as I didn’t quite feel ready. When Edward was a newborn we…

Returning to work – or not

Posted on March 28, 2011November 6, 2022 by jenny

The last few weeks have been hectic, emotionally and physically. My little boy started to walk, turned 1, we went to Bruges for a couple of days and I celebrated my birthday. Then last week, just 2 weeks before I was due to return to work I decided I couldn’t. I’ve spent the last couple…

First steps

Posted on March 25, 2011August 30, 2022 by jenny

Edward took his first proper steps last week (17th March), a day before his first birthday. Since then he’s been busy running around and enjoying his new found freedom. This is me in 1978. Looking back through my old photograph album I see I didn’t start walking until I was 17 months. My mum has…

Are you a bum genius?

Posted on March 22, 2011July 28, 2015 by jenny

A while ago I attended a Nappucino to learn more about real nappies. The Borough I live in give vouchers towards the cost of real nappies to encourage people to give them a go. To be honest I have struggled with real nappies but I try to use them whenever I can, especially when we…

What do I want to be?

Posted on March 21, 2011August 3, 2016 by jenny

Today I handed in my notice at work. I worked there for so long I can’t remember what I did before. Now I have the perfect opportunity to give some thought to what I want to be when I grow up (having a child doesn’t mean I’ve grown up, does it?). My first memory is…

Sea-Band review and giveaway

Posted on March 21, 2011April 19, 2018 by jenny

When I was pregnant I suffered from morning sickness like many pregnant women. I coped by drinking lots of ginger tea and keeping a supply of ginger biscuits in my handbag. I wish I had heard about Sea-Band acupressure wristbands which have been providing nausea relief to millions of people for over 20 years. They…

Banana muffins for little ones

Posted on March 21, 2011September 8, 2011 by jenny

Edward loves his finger food but unfortunately doesn’t like fruit unless it’s pureed. However I’ve found a way of making sure he gets banana by hiding them in muffins! This is a really simple recipe which takes 30 minutes from preparation to eating. Ingredients: 55g unsalted butter 100g caster sugar 1 egg 2 ripe bananas…
