    {Exploring} Bermondsey Foreshore Walk with Thames Festival Trust

    We love a guided walk. They are such a great way to learn new things and see things differently. Last year we were lucky to attend a guided walk along the Thames foreshore at Bermondsey. My daughter always seems to spot small things, and often comes home with a pretty feather or unusual stone from the beach. I knew she would enjoy a guided walk along the Thames foreshore. {Exploring} Bermondsey Foreshore Walk with Thames Festival Trust The Thames Trust is an annual festival of the Thames and features guided walks and events along the Thames. I booked the family…

    August crafting

    August went past in a bit if a flash thanks to the school summer holidays, but I’m delighted to be sitting down and looking over the past month of creativity. The lovely long summer evenings are perfect for crafting and my daughter and I were very busy with our embroidery hoops. August crafting I’ve been subscribing to the Craftpod subscription box for a few years now and really loved the contents of the Summer craftpod subscription box. I stitched the Sunflower cross stitch straight away as I love sunflowers (although am never successful at growing them!). Last week I finished the…

    Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Five Happy Things {Week 463} Last week was the fifth week of the school summer holidays – just one more week to go! We returned from a weekend away where we rented a campervan for the weekend. It was definitely an experience, and not sure it’s one I…

    Morph gingerbread biscuits

    We’ve mentioned a few times now that we really enjoyed visiting Morph’s Epic Art Adventure London trail. Since the trail started we’ve had a couple of trips into London to see it but unfortunately didn’t manage to tick off all the sculptures. The app was really handy keeping tabs of all the sculptures and we definitely had our favourites which we shared with you here and here. Growing up we loved to watch Morph and they inspired some baking at home. Morph gingerbread biscuits I couldn’t find a Morph shaped cookie cutter so my husband designed and printed it on…

    Five Happy Things {Week 462}

    Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Five Happy Things {Week 462} It’s been a bit of a juggle trying to ensure the kids have a good summer holiday whilst we’ve both been working. My daughter spent the week at our local young people’s centre whilst my son stayed at home, working through some of…

    Jurassic Glamping at The Red House Farm

    We spent last week glamping with Jurassic Glamping at The Red House Farm, a small-scale, family orientated, luxury campsite on a smallholding in East Devon. We had been glamping back in 2012 with the kids so were really excited to do it again with them. Jurassic Glamping at The Red House Farm Our last experience was our own eight acres of private woodland in Devon, called The Wood Life. Just the four of us, a large tent, real beds and a wood burning stove. This time round we were staying on a small-scale glamping site, in one of six large safari-style…
