    The Lion Guard Leap n Roar Kion

    I’ve mentioned a few times here that my children enjoy watching The Lion Guard on Disney Junior. The Lion Guard follows lion cub, Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he takes on the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands and the Circle of Life Earlier this year we watched The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and also took part in a fun Twitter Party for the new range of Lion Guard toys. My 4 year old loves Kion so was very happy to be sent…

    The Great Big Rhino Project and Trail

    We’ve finally been able to leave London behind and visit family and friends in Devon. We come a couple of times each year so always have our favourite places to re-visit around Exeter. This year we stayed in a fab hotel in central Exeter which was  a great base for exploring the city. The weather has been perfect so we spent a fun afternoon down by the Quay as well as walking around the Cathedral, City walls and historic buildings. On our first day we discovered a colourful life-sized painted rhino and quickly realised this was a really fun public…

    Updating our home {Orla Kiely wallpaper}

    I find it hard to believe how long we’ve lived in our house. It’s definitely not our forever home but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to create a happy home environment. In the past 3 years we’ve decorated all our bedrooms, the hall and stairs and are just finishing off re-tiling the downstairs bathroom. I’m the first to admit I really hate decorating. I love the idea of freshly painted ceilings, new wallpaper and furnishings. But in reality I hate the mess and upheaval and would put it off for ever if I could. In a bid to fall…

    Recycled plastic bag sandcastle flags

    Today I am taking part in the monthly Project: recycle and create blog hop, the theme is using plastic bags. Earlier in the summer we recycled plastic bags to make a Hank from Finding Dory wind sock. Despite the tax on plastic bags I admit I often forget to bring our own and end up buying one. Unfortunately we have a lot of plastic bags at home. We had a large Paw Patrol plastic bag which I thought would be fun to upcycle into something for my 4 year old. She’s a huge Paw Patrol fan so we made recycled…

    I’m so excited to announce that we’ve been chosen to work with Playmobil once again as Playmobil Playologists! Our family love Playmobil, a top manufacturer within preschool, and we’re looking forward to sharing some of their news, and of course toy reviews, with you over the next few months. Earlier this year we told you how London Fire Brigade recruited a specialist #PLAYMOBILBrigade to celebrate their 150th year. Fire stations have been busy hosting 65 collaborative open days across the capital throughout 2016 to teach children about fire safety in the home. We were lucky to attend the VIP launch…

    DIY Star Wars sensory bin for kids

    I have been thinking about different ways for my children to play with their toys and I thought of combining their favourite Star Wars toys with our tuff spot. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best and our Star Wars sensory bin has been recreated several times. For our DIY Star Wars sensory bin for kids we used: Selection of Star Wars toys Tuff spot Sand Wooden stars DIY Star Wars sensory bin for kids: Our tuff spot gets a lot of use at this time of year. Monday Happy List – Week 100

    Hello everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend. It’s time for me to sit and write my weekly blog post about some of the things which have made me happy – my Monday Happy List. We’ve had my sister visiting all week which has been lovely. We had an epic day in London exploring one of the BFG Dream Jar Trails and spent lots of time drinking tea and eating cake. We made the Lemon and Poppy Seed cake from the Cath Kidston Teatime, book which was delicious. There was a trip to Hobbycraft too for more craft supplies…

    Ice cream freakshakes {with Kelly’s ice cream}

    It’s hot and mostly sunny which means we’ve been getting through a lot of ice cream this school holidays. The children have had ice pops, ice creams and lollies. Everybody has their favourite type but we have a soft spot for Kelly’s of Cornwall. Nothing beats the magical mixture of velvety smooth Cornish ice cream topped with scrumptious extras. We always have a tub in the freezer so were delighted to be asked to create our dream sundae – bringing the ultimate parlour experience into our home. We were sent a sundae starter kit including Kelly’s Ice Cream vouchers, Clarks new…
