It’s been a long time since we last made a Halloween gingerbread house. With the shops already full of delicious and tempting gingerbread house kits, I decided to pick one up for Halloween. Our house is decorated with all kinds of pumpkins and squashes as we’re trying to cut down on buying any new decorations. I thought decorating a gingerbread house would make a great Halloween activity for kids, and a bit of a STEM challenge to keep them busy too! We’ve spent two or three evenings in a row looking through family photos which everyone really enjoyed. That’s why I wanted to keep this nostalgia for as long as possible and also make good use of this free time with my husband and kids. We decided to make a family project based on our family photos and create our very own photo calendar. Save Some Money Actually the…

RHS Wisley is the historic home of the RHS and houses one of the largest plant collections in the world.I love being outdoors at the weekend and this was a place on my bucket list. Tickets are pre-book so we booked a day, packed the puppy off to puppy day care (sadly no dogs are allowed at RHS Wisley except on special occasions) and set off for a short drive. A trip to RHS Wisley with kids I’m not much of a gardener but it doesn’t mean that…
