I don’t mind the month of January. I have a proper spring clean after I’ve taken the Christmas decorations down and have a big clear out too. This year we’re changing our living room round and have had an amazing tidy up due to losing lots of storage. I want to have a simplified house with less clutter – although there will always be room for my crafts!
I’m looking forward to trying new crafts this year and have already enjoyed a little macrame. I love that you can create something with a few simple knots and I will be making a lot more in 2023.
My readers love to craft too, so today I’m sharing a sweet giveaway for a fun craft book. A Loom of One’s Own: Crafts for Book Lovers by Virginia Wool. This book is the perfect gift for fans of classic novels, crafting and puns.
A Loom of One’s Own is a crafting celebration of literary classics. Packed full of designs, these crafts are all uniquely created by cutting, painting and slicing those old, under-loved books you have lying around, giving your novels a new lease of life in the form of beautiful crafts.
We love to craft with the pages of old books and have bought several just for the beautiful illustrations. There was the vintage Star Wars paperback I used to back the Lego Hans Solo and Princess Leia art we made, and the vintage book page I used to celebrate World Book Day a few years ago. I love to recycle and there are some fun projects for recycling the printed word into art.
Win A Loom of One’s Own
I am delighted to offer one reader of the gingerbread house the chance to win a copy of A Loom of One’s Own. To enter my giveaway you must answer the question via the Rafflecopter widget below and leave a comment to win, there are some bonus entries too. The giveaway is open to those with a UK postal address only and ends on 1st February. The winners name will appear on this post. Good luck!
Don’t forget to check out my other giveaways on my competition page. Good luck!
