Starting my week with The Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.
The Weekly Edit {Week 44/2026}
The youngest teen and I went to see High School Musical London at The Troubadour Theatre London. We loved the show which was very energetic with some great songs. It starred McFly’s Harry Judd as Coach Bolton and Disney icon KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus.
My husband took the teens to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at The Natural History Museum. We try and visit every year and see the wonderful photographs every year. I took the youngest teen to watch Bard in the Bookshop: Macbeth which was performed amongst the books at the Waterstones on Gower Street in London. She’s studying Macbeth for her GCSE English Lit exam and I thought this was a great introduction to the play.
I found some of the limited-edition Krispy Kreme The Traitors doughnuts. They were topped with a choc-coated shield and the Traitors sugar plaque, hidden inside was coloured Kreme – red for a Faithful and green for a Traitor.
My husband and I went to a Hans Zimmer Candlelight experience in Eastcote, his greatest film scores were reimagined by a live string trio in the beautiful surroundings of St Lawrence Church. It was a really lovely experience.
Although we have been enjoying the spooky season, especially the Uncanny Halloween Countdown on BBC Sounds, I’m also preparing for the festive season! We love a sculpture trail and were excited to hear there will be an Elf on the Shelf trail around Victoria in London. There is also a Dennis & Gnasher Mega Mischief Trail around the Fleet Street Quarter in November and December.
