Last month The Teabreak Project landed with an invitation to gather. This is a monthly subscription box I recently discovered and signed up for. Each month you receive an invitation to pause, make a cuppa and sit for a while. So far each box has contained a kit and I’ve made a woven basket, which is being used to hold all the stuff that accumulates in the living room.

The Teabreak Project: Gather Book

This months’ project was to make a Gather book, a little handmade place to keep the little bits and pieces you collect throughout the month. The box contained a selection of papers, wash tape, pegs and a vintage style ticket, as well as a needle and thread to bind the pages together.

There was also a playlist, candles, teabags and a bar of the most amazing Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Bar (which I ate straight away!).

I loved the idea of making a little book. The instructions were easy to follow and I chose a selection of papers, before folding them, and stitching them in place.

I’m not quite sure what I’m going to use my little book for as I already scrapbook everything. I might take it away on holiday and keep a holiday journal.

There was enough material left over for my teen to make her own book too. She loves to try a new craft activity and has been gathering old maps and pages of comics to make her own book.

I love the chance to sit and pause for a bit. This was just the right activity for me to take some time for myself and not have to think too much.
