I thought I would spend January completing projects. I don’t like have drawers full of half finished projects, and I have many drawers full of many projects which I have started and not finished. Not only is this a waste of money but I just hate not finishing projects. If they are that bad I tend to take out the fabric and embroidery threads and throw everything else away.
Gingerbread house hoop kit
This gingerbread house hoop kit is from love embroidery magazine, designed by Georgie Emery I was so excited when I saw this was a free cover gift. However, yet again, I started but didn’t finish it. The Embroidery hoop kit contained a pink plastic hoop, pre-printed fabric and five different threads.
I started embroidering the snow covered trees, then the candy canes and stopped. So I re-discovered this and decided to finish it, no more half finished projects in 2025! Once I decide to finish a project I’m usually quite good at getting on with it. It’s been sitting on my wooden project tray so I can see it easily, and also pick it up when I sit down in the evening. I embroidered the roof tiles and then started to stitch the sweets on the roof, the candy cane around the door and all the other little details.
It’s a small hoop so some of the details may have been stitched over, but I’m quite pleased with the finished hoop. Now to put it way until next Christmas.
