Christmas Gingerbread gift guide {2024}

I wasn’t sure about producing a gingerbread gift guide this year. Although they are fun to put together, it always leaves us with a lot of gingerbread products to eat! This year I have carefully curated a smaller amount of gingerbread products which we’re enjoying this year. Gingerbread is always popular but this year it seems to be everywhere, including the Tesco Christmas advert – have you seen it yet?

For the home

When the Emma Bridgewater catalogue landed on my doormat I couldn’t believe she had produced a gingerbread themed range. It’s a small range of only 5 products, a gingerbread house 1/2 pint mug, a small mug, 8 1.2 inch plate, 6 1/2 inch plate and small bowl. I treated myself to the 1/2 pint mug. It’s lovely, featuring a row of gingerbread houses and trees.

Gingerbread seems to be a huge theme this Christmas. We popped into our local B&M and they had all kinds of products from crackers to candles and cushions. The only item I bought was this sweet gingerbread house breadboard. There is also a gingerbread man shaped board too. It makes a fun ornament but I think it will make a great cheeseboard on Christmas Day!

The Range is another shop which seems to stock a huge amount of gingerbread products this year. I picked up a sweet gingerbread man hand towel. It’s super soft and we’re already using it.

This year I came across Wentworth cracker puzzles I couldn’t resist buying one for each of us to open with our Christmas lunch as an alternative to traditional Christmas crackers. They have a whole range of them, but one features a colourful Gingerbread House puzzle with delightful whimsies inspired by the theme of the puzzle, including a gingerbread man and Christmas tree shaped piece. This has been designed exclusively for Wentworth Puzzles by new artist, Pimlada Phuapradit.

Next is another of those shops which has gone all out for gingerbread this year. They have so many products but I didn’t really need anything except for this gorgeous gingerbread house candle. This brown baked gingerbread light up scented candle is a sweet, spicy, treacle delight, that smells like it’s freshly baked from the oven.

Gingerbread sweet treats

I have never come across these Limited Edition Gingerbread Oreos before. The actual biscuits are gingerbread flavour and the cream filling is vanilla. This is the second pack I had to buy as the kids demolished the first pack.

I couldn’t resist a box of Fox’s Festive The Snowman and the Snowdog Gingerbread Minis either. I loved The Snowman when I was younger, and the kids love The Snowdog, so these biscuits will make great after school treats for them.

We like to try and make a gingerbread cake each year. This year we will be trying Sainsbury’s Festive Village Cake Kit. It includes a vanilla flavour sponge cake mix, icing sugar and gingerbread mix. Just need to add egg, unsalted butter, milk and golden syrup. Serves 8

It doesn’t seem long since we made a gingerbread house as we found a Halloween House Kit in Flying Tiger this year. So instead of making another big gingerbread house, we picked up this Flying Tiger 3 little gingerbread houses set. We also picked up a tube of edible glue to put them together! These make a fun Christmas activity for me to do with the kids.

I picked up this Flying Tiger excavation kit in the shape of a gingerbread man a few weeks ago. My daughter loves these excavation kits so I know she will enjoy this festive one. I can’t find it on the website any more unfortunately.
