Work 6 single crochet into the magic ring.

Pull the loose end of the yarn to close the ring and insert the hook in the first stitch to make a slip stitch.

Chain 1.

Work 2 SC into the next CH. Repeat the pattern around. You should have a total of 12 stitches.

Chain 1 and work 1 SC in the next stitch, and increase in the next stitch (2 single crochet). Repeat all around (18 CH).

Work 1 SC in each of the 18 CH.

Repeat step 8. Slip stitch and chain 1.

Repeat step 9 twice.

Work a SC and 1 Decrease into the next stitch. Repeat all around (12). Slip stitch and chain 1.

Work a SC and 1 decrease all around again.

Stuff the crochet ball shape with cotton wadding through the open end.

For this round, decrease 6 times and cut off yarn from the bundle (keep a few inches extra). Stitch the yarn through the remaining stitches, and pull the yarn tail to close the open end.

Cut off any extra yarn if necessary.

Instructions for the Crochet Leaf:

Make a slip knot and chain 16.

Skip 1 chain, and work 1 SC.

Work 1 HDC into the next stitch

work 3 DC into the next 3 stitches.

Work 1 HDC into the next stitch

Work 1 SC into the next stitch.

Work a slip stitch into the next stitch.

Repeat the pattern (1 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC) in the other half of the base chain. Half of both leaves are done.

Repeat steps from 2 to 8, except for the skipping first chain part.

Work a slip stitch, cut off the extra yarn, and tuck the remaining yarn on the backside of the crochet leaf pattern.

Completing the Cherry Pattern:

Take green yarn, start with a slip knot, and chain 20 or more as you choose.

Insert the hook through the middle stitch of the crochet leaf pattern.

Yarn over the middle part of the crochet chain and pull it through, between the leaves.

Insert the remaining yarn through the closed end of the crochet cherry.

Stitch the cherry with the yarn tail to join it with the chain stitch.

Attach another crochet cherry at the other end of the crochet cherry stalk. These are a great make for summer, add a keychain or make more into a garland and hang up and enjoy!
