It’s no secret that I’m a fan of gingerbread. I love baking it, decorating it and eating it! I’m not sure where it all started but now I find myself with gingerbread inspired necklaces, flavoured lip balm and even a gingerbread Christmas jumper. Gingerbread is delicious all year round and is easy to adapt to any occasion. Although we love gingerbread men and houses, we’ve also used our love of gingerbread to create gingerbread Death Star cookies, gingerbread Iron Golem biscuits and even Mr Twit’s beard! I was really happy to receive a copy of Modern Gingerbread to review.

The making and decorating of gingerbread houses has long been synonymous with the coming of Christmas, and the tradition has never gone out of fashion.
