Easy Duck Tape hand sanitiser holder

Easy Duck Tape hand sanitiser holder

Posted on September 2, 2020 by jenny

With the children going back to school tomorrow I wanted to make them something fun and useful too. We love crafting with Duck Tape and this Duck Tape hand sanitiser holder is both practical and pretty. There are some really lovely patterned Duck Tapes out there and I’m using this gorgeous floral tape to make a holder for a small bottle of hand sanitiser. My 8 year old is a little anxious about the return to school but I’m hoping this will cheer her up and help her feel safe at school.

Your favourite patterned Duck Tape

a small bottle of hand sanitiser

length of ribbon or string

scissors

Gently flatten the cardboard tube with your hand so it holds the bottle of hand sanitiser.

Place the length of string around one side of the tube, over the top and down the other side of the tube, leaving enough to hold the hand sanitiser.

Supplies to make Duck Tape hand sanitiser holder

Cut a short piece of Duck Tape and wrap over the bottom of the cardboard tube to make sure the hand sanitiser doesn’t fall out.

Cut lengths of Duck Tape, around 20cm, and carefully wrap around the cardboard tube and string until the tube is covered.

You can gently fold over any excess Duck Tape over the top of the cardboard tube. Trim around the string.

There you have a simple cover for your hand sanitiser. The bottle slides out easily so it can be refilled when empty.

I love the look of the Neon Floral Duck Tape so thought I would use it to make a matching cover for my daughters face mask too. Face masks aren’t compulsory for children under the age of 11 but she wanted a mask like the rest of us.

How to make a Duck Tape mask holder

You could follow my Duck Tape envelope tutorial to make a little pocket or cover for a small resealable bag with matching Duck Tape.

I placed strips of Duck Tape across the bag, making sure I folded one over the bottom of the bag.

This makes a super sweet little bag to keep her mask safe.
