Alternative Easter gift guide for kids {giveaway}

As much as I love Easter I really don’t want to give my children endless chocolate eggs. A few years ago we started our own Easter tradition of giving a small gift alongside a chocolate egg. This way they get to pick a yummy edible treat but enjoy something that will last a little longer too.

An ‘alternative Easter gift guide’

It seems we are not the only parents to think like this as we have received some lovely toys to tell you about which would make great alternative Easter gifts. Earlier this month we told you about the Beaker Creatures Reactor Pod, Cutetitos, Little Lucky Lunchbox collectibles and the My Little Pony Retro. Today I wanted to share some other ideas which would make alternative gifts this Easter. But first I need to tell you about a lovely theatre show in London over Easter.

Where is Peter Rabbit? at Theatre Royal Haymarket

Hop onto your seats and immerse yourself in the magical world of Beatrix Potter. Watch with delight as your favourite stories and most beloved characters are brought to life in this theatrical spectacular, with beautifully handcrafted puppets, enchanting original songs and a sprinkle of magic. Look out for the ferocious Mr. McGregor, reach heady heights with Jemima Puddle-Duck, do the laundry with Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and of course, fall in love with the mischievous Peter Rabbit. This is a lovely show lasting about an hour with all your favourite characters. Where is Peter Rabbit? is on at the Theatre Royal Haymarket between 5th-28th April.

Limited-edition packs of ‘Double Yolker’ Starmix

My kids just love Haribo and new for Easter are limited-edition packs of Starmix so you can ‘Hunt the Double Yolker’. Bringing some extra ‘eggcitement’ to the Easter countdown, 20 hand-crafted ‘Double Yolker’ sweets have been randomly nestled amongst Starmix’s much-loved Egg, Bottle, Heart, Ring and Bear shaped pieces. Those lucky enough to find a Haribo ‘Double Yolker’ will be treated to a UK family break at Forest Holidays!

Fingerlings magazine

Have you seen Fingerlings before? My daughter has collected a few and was delighted to receive a copy of the brand new Fingerlings magazine. The magazine is packed with features and includes a free Fingerlings mini, a glitter tattoo and 60 cute stickers. It’s a really lovely magazine and has kept my daughter busy with lots of colouring, puzzles, stories and activities. It’s priced £3.99 and is available in all good newsagents.

My Little Pony Retro

The My Little Pony Retro has been introduced to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the brand and there are 6 to collect, all based on original designs. I adored my My Little Pony collection when I was little so was excited to hear about this range. Each figure comes with a ribbon in their hair, a comb and collector’s guide. My Little Pony Retro are priced at £8.99.
